Helping a Brand Level-Up to Protect Endangered Animals

The Situation

Global Conservation Corps (GCC) is a rapidly growing not-for-profit organization that seeks to protect iconic animals of South Africa that are facing extinction. While GCC’s brand had served them well, they needed an updated identity that better embraced their goals while attracting the large organizations who support them financially.

Our Approach

Working closely with their leadership team, we conducted interviews with key stakeholders, partners, and volunteers to identify what was unique about GCC. We also dug deep into the brands of other organizations in the same space. The results of these efforts gave us the information and inspiration we needed to create bold new brand concepts.

Solution

After in-depth branding exercises and developing visual inspiration boards, we created a new logo and brand identity. We provided GCC with a new logo system, brand style guide, identity kit, brand assets, a brand-friendly icon suite, as well as a brand activation playbook to help their internal team launch the new brand and help them connect with their identified key audience personas.

“The value, passion and dedication that the Reckon team invested into the rebrand of our organization transcends anything I’ve ever experienced or witnessed in this space. We had gone through agency after agency, and I almost gave up that there was a company that understood our culture, needs and values.  From the first moment we met with Reckon, we knew we were in safe, passionate and caring hands. From there on out, there was never a doubt in my mind that something truly special was going to emerge. Our vision came to life.”
